Grange Quarry have established a new concrete depot near Dalbeattie, the plant is now open for action The Plant was aquired by Grange in May of 2016 and has been used on large flooring jobs and wind farms to date. It will now become a static plant serving the Stewartry area
The plant is a Nisbau Euromix 120. It has a huge output capacity courtesy of a 3m3 twin shaft mixer and delivery system which can produce an output of up to 120m3 per hour(2m3 per minute).
The plant will hold BSI Third Party Accreditation to BS8500 (Kitemark) and provide a full range of concrete mixes. The aggregates in use will be supplied from Grange own quarry Kelhead near Annan. Kelhead aggregate is produced under strict factory production control conditions and CE marked to the requirements of BS EN 12620. Grange use only high performance admixtures designed to extend the working life of every batch of concrete and so the plant will be capable of providing a regular radial mileage of supply of around 40 miles, we can travel further if required, please ask.
Products supplied will be Designated Concrete, Design Concrete, Standardised Prescribed Concrete and Proprietary Concrete. The plant will also provide special products including Standard Sand Cement screeds, Flowing Concrete, Self Compacting Concrete, Watertight Concrete, Waterproof Concrete, Foamed Concrete. We can provide solutions for limiting reinforcement costs through the use of Structural Macro Fibre Concrete, reducing shrinkage where applicable with Anti Shrinkage Agents etc. We also offer air entrainement and polyfibre concrete and combinations of the two for external slabs subject to winter frost attack
Grange operate a dedicated technical resource in line with our 3rd party accreditation, our products are constantly tested and cross checked to national standards.
Grange Concrete supplies in the region of 40,000 - 50,000m3 of concrete per annum into the Dumfries and Galloway market. The business has been built on a policy of customer service and after care. This policy applies to every load of concrete leaving the plant gates, whether it be a load into the local building trade, or local farming market, or a major construction project.
